Indian Chai Recipe

How to make Chai

Few years back I explained it to one of my professors in (Wisconsin) who was primarily a coffee drinker and he really he really liked it after trying this at his home.

Well to most its not a big deal but I still thought that I must rewrite the simple Chai recipe for some who still want to make a perfect Indian Chai just the way I like it.

Ingredients for 2 cups of Chai:

1 cup of Milk  (100 ml)
1.5 cups of water (125 ml)
4 medium size cardamom
1 small piece of Ginger
Sugar to taste
1.5 medium table spoon of any Indian Tea like Taj, Red Label etc
Little cinnamon (its totally up to you)

Process Time - 3-5 minutes

  1. Boil the water with milk
  2. Add sugar to taste
  3. Simply smash the Cardamom, Ginger  and Cinnamon(if you want) with Mortar and Pestle so that the juices and aromas can release and then add it to the boiling water and milk
  4. Add half of the tea leaf in the beginning and other half once the liquid is boiled
  5. Let the tea boil in simmer till at least half cup of water is evaporated.

See how simple the tea making is.

You can top it up with whip cream or a spoon of Malai (Cream) (totally up to you)

Tea best pairs with Indian Snacks like Samosa, Pakodas, Sweet cookies or Biscuits , Muffins etc

Photography at Infini-Tea

Background

So one random day I decided to checkout this place I had heard from many people, Infini-tea.  It had been long time since I used my Canon 7D so I grabbed it on the way.

If you ask me I have just started clicking and dont know much of photography, but there is always an start. So my photography started ,also now my visits to Infini-Tea increased  and now I am starting this blog with these pictures of an awesome tea cafe at Indira Nagar, Bangalore.

A few words on the Place -

This is a beautiful place on Double Road where one can spend hours sipping on tea and savouring awesome food.

Pics of the food do not justify the taste because the taste is much better and my skills are not that great..(I am working on it)

I also liked the pillow covers and hence that had to be part of this blog.

I highly recommend this place to people who wants some space in life, who wants to write in their time alone, eat food, watch people walk by and try best tea cafe in Bangalore

There is an open area sitting arrangement which is what I always prefer...I do recommend that if you plan to go during evenings........

This blog is no part of any campaign ,just a thankful note to Infini-Tea for providing such beautiful place and amazing collection of teas  close to my house.........

There are many teas here I have so far tried Earl Grey, 1st flush, 2nd flush, Ollang, Jasmine ...yet many more left to explore.....
